¶ Sherronna Bishop public litigation and legal records source cluster
The current Bishop legal footprint in the repo includes: reporting and self-description around the 2021-11-16 search of Bishop's home; trial reporting describing Bishop as a witness and as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Tina Peters case; reporting about the Lindell phone warrant naming Bishop among people of interest / alleged co-conspirators; and a public-source retrieval pass for new Eastern District of Texas Bishop civil dockets. The record remains incomplete and should not be flattened into a single legal conclusion.
¶ Searches and warrants
CTR reported that on 2021-11-16 federal agents conducted searches connected to the Mesa County election-security investigation and that Peters told Lindell one searched home belonged to Bishop. CTR also reported an official district-attorney statement that FBI personnel conducted federally authorized law-enforcement actions at four locations in Mesa and Garfield counties, with no arrests and sealed documents.
The New Yorker later reported that FBI agents searched the homes of Peters and Bishop on 2021-11-16, and that Bishop said her digital devices were seized. The America's Mom site includes Bishop's own first-person account of agents entering her home and her family witnessing the search. Treat details of the search from Bishop's site as self-description unless corroborated by a court record.
¶ Peters trial and unindicted co-conspirator language
CTR / Colorado Newsline trial coverage says prosecutors considered Bishop an unindicted co-conspirator and challenged her credibility after she testified for the defense. The current repo does not retain a trial transcript or court filing that independently verifies the exact wording. Use this phrase only with attribution, date, and case context.
The current repo supports:
- Bishop testified for the defense in the Peters trial, according to Colorado Newsline.
- Prosecutors / trial reporting described Bishop as having an integral role in the scheme.
- Prosecutors / trial reporting disputed Bishop's account and said other witnesses did not support it.
The current repo does not support:
- Bishop was convicted in the Peters case.
- Bishop was charged in the Peters state criminal case.
- Any final adjudication of Bishop's role.
CTR reported in September 2022 that a DOJ/FBI warrant for Mike Lindell's phone named Bishop, Lindell, Frank, Peters, Knisley, Brown, and Hayes. CTR further reported that DOJ described them as co-conspirators in alleged copying/theft charges related to Mesa County election data. This remains high-value reporting but needs the underlying warrant or affidavit before exact legal language should be hardened into repo voice.
¶ Civil litigation and docket retrieval
The 2026-05-28 public-source refresh verifies that Bishop v. Schoening, E.D. Tex. 2:26-cv-00300, is now visible in public Justia search results and CourtListener search metadata. Public docket text identifies Sherronna Bishop as plaintiff, Darcy Schoening as defendant, Judge Rodney Gilstrap as presiding judge, Magistrate Judge Roy S. Payne as referring judge, a 2026-04-16 filing date, and the assault/libel/slander diversity classification. The visible docket entries remain initial-stage: complaint, new-suit notice, and summons issued to Schoening.
The retained PacerMonitor page-1 complaint preview identifies the Schoening matter as a complaint for defamation and jury demand. The visible pleading alleges that the case concerns a March 15, 2026 Facebook post on a page titled The Truth About Victor Marx, but this is a pleading allegation, not a court finding. A Wayback-preserved March 15, 2026 Facebook reel from The Truth About Victor Marx is retained as an archived source object that appears to match the complaint's page/date frame; it does not establish authorship, page control, falsity, damages, actual malice, or any other legal element.
The 2026-05-28 refresh did not verify the user-reported June 5, 2026 court setting in public Justia text, CourtListener search metadata, PacerMonitor public metadata, unauthenticated E.D. Texas CM/ECF redirect checks, or web searches. Treat the June 5 court-date claim as unresolved until PACER/RECAP or another direct source verifies it. One adjacent CTR source reports Victor Marx is scheduled to speak at Last Stand Conference on June 5 and 6, 2026; that is an event date in related political context, not a verified court setting.
The adjacent public Justia docket for Bishop et al v. Oltmann, E.D. Tex. 2:2026cv00190, was filed 2026-03-10, with plaintiffs Neil Bishop and Sherronna Bishop and defendant Joseph Oltmann. Treat it as adjacent unless a court filing proves formal relation to Bishop v. Schoening. Public Justia search-visible docket text says Oltmann was served on 2026-04-24 and that the summons-return entry was filed on 2026-04-28.
A 2026-05-30 CourtListener public-search refresh shifts the immediate docket-completion priority toward the Oltmann case without proving any June 5 setting. The current Oltmann search result reports document_count: 16 and more_docs: true, while the current Schoening search result still reports document_count: 3 and more_docs: false. A targeted Oltmann search exposes the 2026-04-28 summons-returned-executed entry, and CourtListener storage made the document 3 summons-issued PDF available. The sixteen-document count is search metadata rather than a full docket sheet; it is a retrieval lead, not proof of answer, motion, hearing, default, or merits posture.
A 2026-06-06 public RECAP/access refresh confirms the remaining access
barrier. CourtListener public search still lists the Schoening complaint,
new-suit notice, and summons-issued descriptors as is_available: false;
predictable CourtListener storage paths for Schoening documents 1, 2, and
3 returned HTTP 404; and detailed CourtListener docket/docket-entry
endpoints required authentication. For Oltmann, document 3 summons-issued
remains the only retained available PDF in this package, while the summons
returned executed entry remains metadata-only in public search. Direct Justia
docket pages returned JavaScript/cookies challenge pages in this environment.
The same pass also noted Bishop (PS) et al v. USA, D. Colo. 1:2025cv03407, filed 2025-10-27, by Neil T. Bishop and Sherronna P. Bishop against the USA. Justia's search-visible docket text describes early pro se deficiency / response activity and an order directing a third amended complaint by 2025-12-10. Westword reporting described that suit as challenging the 2021 search of the Bishops' Silt home. The repo still needs the complaint and docket packet before summarizing the claims in detail.
Neil Bishop appears in the current repo only in narrow, source-supported roles: co-plaintiff with Sherronna Bishop in public federal docket leads and husband / household-search context in ally or local reporting. Intercessors for America describes Bishop's husband as present during the 2021 search and handcuffed then uncuffed; it does not name him in the retained text. Local/adversarial reporting identifies her husband as Neil and says the couple sold their Silt home and moved to Texas in 2022. America Out Loud's ally-media page describes Bishop as a wife and mother of four and says her family moved from Colorado to Texas.
This is enough to mention Neil in the legal/family context, but not enough to create a full Neil Bishop entity page or infer his political, business, or operational role.
CTR's 2025-03-14 article documents a public dispute among Tina Peters, Mike Lindell, Sherronna Bishop, and Joe Oltmann over whether Lindell / Bishop paid Peters-related legal bills and whether fundraising claims were accurate. CTR reports Lindell identified Bishop as executive director of the Lindell Offense Fund but said she did not control distributions. Bishop and Oltmann made conflicting public claims. Treat all legal-bill amount and motive claims as disputed until backed by fund records, contracts, invoices, or court filings.
