¶ Amy Shandy D20 Governance Source Cluster, 2023-2026
- El Paso County's final-unofficial 2023 results list Amy Shandy with 20,933 votes, the highest total in the two-seat Academy District 20 contest. D20's transition check records Shandy and Derrick Wilburn as the winners and places their first board appearance on November 30, 2023.
- A retained October 2023 student forum records Shandy describing herself as a D20 parent, speech-language pathologist, and former clinic co-owner. Those business-scale figures are candidate self-description, not audited financial facts.
- D20 transition material places her as treasurer after the 2023 transition. Local reporting says the board selected her president in March 2025 after Aaron Salt stepped down; the current official-directory capture lists her as president.
- At the May 14, 2026 meeting she presided when the board unanimously approved Resolution 207-26, serving Superintendent Jinger Haberer with a notice of discharge for stated cause and placing her on administrative leave pending a hearing. The retained video does not establish the later hearing or final employment outcome.
- On June 11, 2026, Shandy moved Resolution 238-26 to remove Almost Perfect from all district library collections and voted aye with Susan Payne and Jeff Tripp. This is direct evidence of the motion and vote, not a legal determination that the book met the resolution's asserted obscenity test.
The retained sources do not yet provide a single official chronology for Shandy's oath date, every officer election, term expiration, or the final Haberer personnel disposition. Meeting participation and shared votes do not establish coordination or motive.
