Semi Bird, also identified in campaign-finance records as Misipati Semi Bird, was a 2024 Washington Republican gubernatorial candidate. In this repository, Bird is currently relevant for two reasons: Washington PDC records show Corey Gibson Consulting, LLC communications / consulting work for Bird's campaign, and public sources place Bird in eastern Washington Christian-right organizing settings.
The current source pass did not find a direct National Association of Christian Lawmakers connection for Bird.
Washington PDC open data identifies Corey Gibson Consulting, LLC in Bird's 2024 Washington governor campaign. The captured rows total $14,700.00 and include National Media Outreach, Management and consulting services, and Communications Director / Communication Director descriptions.
This is the strongest direct campaign-consulting evidence connecting Bird to Corey Gibson. It is independent of the later Colorado TRACER rows where SCOTT BOTTOMS FOR GOVERNOR paid GIBSON, COREY.
Range Media reported that Bird's first Spokane campaign stop after announcing for governor was a March 2023 meet-and-greet organized by East Washington Freedom Alliance. EWAFA's own June 5, 2024 event page shows a Pastors Coffee with Semi Bird at Family of Faith Community Church. EWAFA's public pages describe a faith, family, freedom, constitutional-values, and anti-government-overreach organizing frame.
Family Policy Institute of Washington lists EWAFA as a local strategic partner and describes its broader partner work as defending and advancing biblical values across Washington State. EWAFA's public "Fuel the Fight" page lists Family Policy Institute Washington, Tactical Civics - Spokane, Liberty Remnant Church, Tri-County Christian Center, Moms for Liberty Spokane County, and other groups in its alliance / member-organization section.
Range Media and FAVS reporting add a Matt Shea / Patriot Radio layer. Range reported that Shea hosted Bird on Patriot Radio, while FAVS described Shea as a local dominionist pastor and reported a friendly Shea interview with Bird. This supports an eastern Washington Christian-nationalist-adjacent ecosystem edge around hosts and venues, not a settled claim that Bird himself should be classified as a Christian nationalist.
Range Media also complicates the classification: it reported that Bird was openly embraced by many Christians but that most of his own positions steered clear of highly visible Christian-nationalist stances, and it quoted Bird emphasizing constitutional representation across different beliefs.
No direct NACL hit was found in this pass. Searches for Bird with NACL, National Association of Christian Lawmakers, christianlawmakers.com, Patriot Academy, Rick Green, Lance Wallnau, Courage Tour, FlashPoint, TPUSA Faith, and related terms did not surface a direct NACL relationship.
